Brad Delson told The Pulse of Radio that it sets the tone for the rest of the record. "'A Thousand Suns' is definitely a diverse and eclectic record, and at the same time it has a cohesive sound. And we did think that 'The Catalyst' would be a good first representation of the album. It's very different from anything we've done before, and it's just a journey.

Hope It's not a journey for the pot smokers" out there xD.

- Added the 8-Bit Heroes Gallery Showing-winning designs in the 8-Bit Heroes contest by Linkin Park

What shall it be?
In my opinion - After listening to all the snippets well I guess it has been growing on me since then so on my first listen I was already hooked on to it cause I knew what to expect well kinda. So yes I really like this song I think they have worked really well on it. On to the next one!

Who's excited?

ESPN have stated on their website that they will feature the television premier of Linkin Park's new single "The Catalyst" during their coverage of The X Games 16, which run from July 29th - August 1st in Los Angeles, Calif. This would mean the single will air before it's August 2nd release date in some shape or form.
