I'm not sure where the guy got them, but they look like someone blacked out something on the bottom. Anyways.....

May 7th? - Don't believe it just yet...

Hey lptimes is talking about how the album may come out on May 7th. This is mainly because an Australian music company (Sanity) is stating this date. I'd say to take this with a huge pinch of salt. It is possible that they know something we don't, but it's unlikely. They may just have that date up because the think the album should of come out by then, this meaning that they can start taking preorders. Many company make dates up so that they can just start selling products.

If you believe this, then the Halo 3 faceplate for the xbox360 that is on sale in December is actually coming out Summer 2007 (according to a few weeks ago), a random example but it gets my point across. Don't take this date as confirmation!

I still reckon a March release, but it really is just a guessing game at the moment.

T______ and T______

Hmmm so lptimes has got this up:
Wes reports that there's a short article about Linkin Park in the December 2006 issue of Blender Magazine and Chester revealed that the next Linkin Park album will be called "T__and T__" (he only gave a hint). He also described that the house they are recording in (Rick Rubin's house) used to be home to gangster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel and it is where Harry Houdini's mistress lived. They also said that the album is due in February '07. I don't have a scan unfortunately, thanks Wes.

So what are your ideas? Trials and Tribulations?
Thanks Wes, Lptimes and Levit86

Holly on Irving Azoff's Front Line?

Notice the words holly brook in this article... make of it what you will.

According to Hits Daily Double, veteran manager Andy Gould and partner Dan Dalton are rumored to be taking their Spectacle Entertainment Group under Irving Azoff's Front Line umbrella, with acts including ROB ZOMBIE, STATIC-X, JURASSIC 5, DAMIAN "JR. GONG" MARLEY, STEPHEN MARLEY, CHALI2NA, former SOMETHING CORPORATE guitarist William Tell, hot newcomer DRIVEBLIND and HOLLY BROOK. Gould and Dalton left The Firm in July 2005. Gould also has juice in the film world as producer of client Zombie's hit horror movies, the latest of which is the highly touted "reimagining" of the "Halloween" franchise, now in pre-production for The Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films.

Holly just confirmed this for me, along with "Go ahead! Its pretty exciting, actually. I've been with Dan Dalton since he was at the FIRM, and I'll follow him wherever he goes."

Podcast - questions

Hey all - as it's so quiet it's pretty hard to make a podcast. Which sucks cause it seemed like you guys liked the first. It sucked when number 2 got canned.

However in this dry period I thought we'd have some fun, which may make its way as a smaller section of the podcast when things get a bit more exciting in the Msr world.

So basically, what I would love is this, if you guys have any questions about lp, fort minor, this site, the official sites, me, jon, our lp collections (may get nick in on that one) or anything else related I want you to email me with the question! ( or put it in the comments. Jon and I will sit down and hopefully answer as many as we can fit in.

So yeah - you guys get to make the content for this next experimental podcast. Remember to include your name so we can credit you for your question. Heck if you've even got a fact that you want to tell other fans about send it our way. We'll see if we can find a prize for the best question/fact/whatever...

Hope you like this idea! :)

(p.s. we choose a holly brook winner, for a signed copy of her album, however we never sorted out sending or announcing the CD. My bad, it was me getting over involved in the set up of uni life. I'll email the winner in a short while :) If they still want the prize then it'll be sent their way!)

Hey all - I'm bit of a busy bee at the moment. However as most of you have noticed things are pretty quiet in the world of MSR. However I'm working on some stuff to try keep you turning over. Anyway...

Julienk has put a sample of the 'Mindless Self Indulgence vs. Julien-K & Chester Bennington "What Do They Know" Remix' on his myspace page. It's worth checking. Only had a quick chance to listen and it doesn't seem to have Chester vocals, but it sounded quite cool.

Check it here - click on the music player, selecting JK Remix MSI. The sample can be downloaded too.
- Oh yeah thanks for the prompt Misi, it's said that a club instrumental version will be out in December for free download! (woo freebies :D)

Cred. to whoever quickly messaged me as I was walking out the door for uni. I'll put your name up soon, but I forgot exactly which msn name it was. Damn me for having sooo many people on that list >_<

UPDATE - It's now been confirmed that Chester does not appear on the track, he was a co-producer. - Thanks Kay!

Nothing particualy new from Joe, except for an update about his film the Seed. It's finally been premiered! And a link to Joe's blog. It's all good :)

"What’s up LP fans, I wanted to give you a quick update on what my band has been up to...
We've been in the studio now for what has seemed like an eternity. We've been working real hard and plan to put out an album that showcases the next level of our evolution as a band. We are really excited about the progress we have made and can't wait to share it with all of the fans. Our hope is to wrap up recording this year and put out the album early next year. As for me, I just got back from the Pusan International Film Festival where I premiered my short film 'The Seed'. It was a lot of fun. For pics of the trip, check out my blog." - Joe

It's all good, but I want something to hear.
Currently keeping myself amused with Depeched Mode. Anyone got any idea of the best albums to check out?

New song "Accident"

Info taken from LPAssociation.

Linkin Park has experimented with a new approach in creating the latest disc: no particular formula at all. While in the past, the songs were primarily based off the instrumental music, then vocals, Delson says that this time "every song had its own unique evolution." From there, with producer Rick Rubin at the helm, the band would sit down toghether and rate each song: A and B for potential single and album-worthy tracks, C for compositions that could later be used, and a D to trash the work all together.

Linkin Park starts to narrow those songs down

Not sure why this wasn't posted earlier, Google sent me this link... (good ol' google) and I immediatly posted the link on LPU Chat, and not here. Maybe it's university going to my head. Anyway most important part if you haven't heard / read this yet... LP are down to 17 final songs... Read the rest below!

At the Fuse Fangoria Chainsaw Awards over the weekend, Linkin Park's Phoenix and Mike Shinoda said the band's long-awaited next album is taking form. "As of maybe a week and a half, two weeks ago, we went from 30 down to 17-ish, song-wise, and that's an exciting point for us," Phoenix tells AOL Music. "The album is starting to take a little bit more of a shape."
The band credits its experimentalism on this album in large part to producer Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys). "Rick is one of those guys where you can go through any door you want to go through," Shinoda says. "We're trying everything, just messing around with it until it sounds good."

Phoenix says that's created an album that will confound expectations of the band. "The thing for me with Rick is that he's open to whatever happens, and I think for us it's created a very different album than what we were expecting." And good luck trying to imagine what that new direction might sound like: "Even different than your new expectations that you just made -- that's how different," Phoenix says.

You can now renew your FM Militia membership, this year is just online only membership (at $10 for the year, giving you access to all new and past exclusives). We're promised new music and media for the year ahead. So $10 well worth it. has sent us some Brazillian info about the new video for Remember the Name that was talked about.
"Mike Shinoda continues to work on the new Linkin Park album, but is continuing to find time for his parallel project, Fort Minor. In making the video of Remember The Name he asked for the aid of the fans. "All these kids who place videos of sports madnesses on the Internet, things of radical sports, basket ball, kung fu, etc. The clip of Remember The Name will use these videos ", explained Shinoda.
"I like to go on YouTube to see madnesses that these faces make. And this was the inspiration for the idea of this clip "

(It's a rough translation, I'm sorry phoenix and i tried to work it out best we could)

Paradise City - Slash, Satriani, Lars, Chester and more

Paradise City video that looks like it's proshot. If it isn't it's really close.

Slash, Lars Ulrich, Duff McKagen, Matt Sorum, Joe Satriani, and Chester Bennington. Chester does the vocals and does one hell of a job. This is honestly the best cover I've ever seen Chester involved in. Linkin Park needs to cover this song man.

Thanks Astat for the heads up on the vid.

UPDATE: You can now watch Chester helping out with a Whole Lotta Love. Enjoy. Credit to DJ T-Rey for pointing it out to me. Also been told uploaded a copy of this too.
