Holly's put up a new myspace blog (thanks to tez mc for mailing it in, guessing that's Tezzy Tez). She's wanting help deciding on a new job. Any suggestions?
I've been looking for a job because this music thing just isn't paying the bills. Help me brianstorm!
First of all, I should let you know that I am available to sing demo vocals. This means, singing songs for songwriters and producers that are looking for cuts. If it is too far to travel, I can record it at home. I can also do background vocals on material that will be released, but I would need to first approve the song. Send me a message for my rates.
Other than that, my ideal jobs would be:

The likeness of Phoenix

It's very rare that I post about something that is fan-made, however I decided this took a bit of an exception.
Lolo is a great friend of the site and a personal friend to Jaxxy, Jon, and myself. She's been working hard over the past few days on a painting of Phoenix, and I have to say the results have turned out brilliantly. I just thought it was definetly worth sharing with you guys.
It'd be great to see some of your comments on the painting too!

Since we last heard from her, she asked to leave Machine Shop, and they accepted. 9 months later and they still haven't let her go, so, as she says "I am stuck in a holding pattern." She wants to be let go so she "can start making new music".
On a lighter note, she's been touring a lot with Duncan Sheik, opening for him and playing keys in his band. "That has been the highlight of my year so far, as I am such a huge fan of his."
Also, fans of hers can see on her MySpace, that she's received Moonman recently. I'm not quite sure what it was for but she looked stunning in her acceptance photograph, shown when you click read more:
Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance flesh out Projekt Revolution plans

Nothing amazingly new, just a new article about Projekt Revolution. The article is mainly written from the words of Chester. Worth a read. Click 'Read More' to view the full article.
During its 90-minute Projekt Revolution sets, Linkin Park plans to play a good chunk of its latest album, "Minutes to Midnight."
"I think it's really a great time, because we get to play all of the singles," Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington said during a recent teleconference. "We kind of are amazed at the fact that we can actually squeeze an hour-and-a-half set out, because our [new] record is fairly short.source
Linkin Park cover Malvina Roots

Crewdy (
from FTG) posted on the LPU about an article he found.
RANDY NEWMAN, THE SHINS, LINKIN PARK and BILLY BOB THORNTON have been selected from the 90 acts who've sent TV bosses a cover of the WEEDS theme tune in the hope of having their submissions played on the show. For the second successive year, Weeds producers at studio Lionsgate have been inundated with recordings of Little Boxes, written in 1962 by folk musician Malvina Reynolds. Although covers by some big name acts have been confirmed to appear, many others are still being considered. Lionsgate boss Jay Faires says, "We have 90-plus submissions so far. The show speaks to artists across all musical genres - hard rock, indie, alternative, folk... Maybe it's the weed thing." The Shins frontman James Mercer explains why he's a fan of the show's theme: "It sounds so quaint, but it's really biting."Source
LP goes Green & Live Earth

emceemaster points out an article that shows that LP are planning to make their PR tour that bit more greener in the wake of Live Earth:
"We love coming to Japan," Linkin Park drummer Rob Bourdon tells Billboard.com. "We've been here a bunch of times and we have a great fan base. I think that was very helpful in creating awareness and getting people out to the event.
"It's hard to say exactly how much this will do, but I think it's a great start to get people thinking about it," he adds. "We really do believe in the cause -- we've hired somebody to help us make our tour 'green,' and most of the trucks and buses on our upcoming Projekt Revolution tour have bio-diesel engines. It adds up to about 200 tons less of carbon emissions."Source:
billboard.comAs for Live Earth, in total all the artisit flew over 220,000 miles around the globe. How is that helping climate change? Live Earth didn't feel right to me. Either way if you want to check out LP's amazing performance it can be seen again and again here:

The Document?

Energy on 03 Jul 2007 12:02 am
The Linkin Park Projekt(?) spotted something interesting that has started to appear on multiple sites, including
Artisit Direct,
billboard.com,
aol.com, plus others (including msn and yahoo).
All that can really be gathered off the small amount of details availble so far is:
Release date: September, 18, 2007
Album Type: Compilation
Album label: MVDAudio (??? i believe this means it's a special Music DVD)
So all guesses are welcome. Any ideas what it is?
On another note AOL are saying that Given Up, & Shadow of the Day are being released on CD in the UK... So there you go all a bit confusing at the moment. Thanks Lolo for the tip on 'the document'.
Update- DJ Ravok points out that the disc is an interview CD/DVD the information and cover can be seen here.
(view). Strange that this would appear as an official item on so many pages... :/

Minutes to Midnight Platinum
Posted by
Jaxxy on 24 Jun 2007 11:19 am
Minutes to Midnight has officially gone Platinum in the US! Which means it has sold over 1 million copies (in only 4 weeks). It has also gone platinum in 16 other countries! But this doesn't mean it has sold 16 million copies! The number of records needed to be sold to gain platinum status varies from country to country. I think in the UK you need something like 300,000 copies sold (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)
