i’ve had the flu for the last few days. it’s been nasty. i almost went to the emergency room, but my fever broke and now i feel better.

enough about me. i haven’t mentioned anything about STYLES OF BEYOND in a while, since they’ve been in the studio finishing their record. they were almost done a few months ago, but decided to go back and tweak a few things and add a couple songs. i think it was a really smart move…the album sounds amazing.

now that the record is pretty much done, and the guys are starting to put some shows together. here are three so far:

2/15 – Crash Mansion – Downtown, LA Doors at 8:30PM

3/22 – In The Venue for “Spring Fling” – Salt Lake City, UT Doors at 8PM http://www.24tix.com

4/25 – University of Buffalo – Buffalo, NY

for all you fort minor fans out there, go check them out. tickets won’t cost too much, and you’re guaranteed a good time, especially if you catch the guys at the bar afterward. go and tell them i said “hi.”

Pts.Of.Athrty Demo (or alternate mix)

Mazman08/LeaveTheRest found an exciting new file for all our ears to enjoy. The track appears to be a demo or alternate remix of Points of Authority by Jay Gordon, the guy behind the reanimation remix. So check out this 'swish' different version of the track here:

Click here, once on the page select Linkin Park, Points of... etc
(we noticed that Linkin Park Revolution had posted about it, oh and yes I'm aware they reported this a while ago)

As for cool media files... that counter is slowly getting closer to the 1,000,000 mark isn't it?

Hey all - I thought that I'd put up a few of my images from the amazing show that was on the 28th Jan. I was 2nd row from the front, and made do with my girlfriend's camera for this show due to no chance of getting a press pass. So sorry if the images are a tad on the grainy side, but I think they've come out pretty nice for some audience shot images.

Yeah, that's right. Linkin park played umbrella yesterday... more specifically, Mike sung it and played it on keyboards.

I'll be going about my day now.

I'm writing this on the train as I head back to Reading. I'll be home for about an hour before I have to leave to go to the O2 Arena. There is a random guy staring at me as I write...I don't write with any purpose so this review will be random. I tend to write things when they pop into my head...Last night was fantastic.

Linkin Park Diary [day 1 and 2] - Jon

The Growth, The Maturity, The Transitions.

I've got a down day today, as we await the Linkin Park show in Manchester's M.E.N. tomorrow, but having attended the first two shows of five on this U.K. leg it is clearly evident how much they've changed since their last visit.

Now as someone who's followed Linkin Park since the very beginning, I have seen Linkin Park perform 19 times (March 2003 x3, August 2003 x2, Nov 2003 x5, Mar 2004 x2, June 2004 x2, Feb 2005 x1, May 2007 x1, June 2007 x1, Jan 2008 x2 [to be 5]), and by the end of this leg it'll be my twenty second. This isn't said to boast, but to discuss that of those shows, the set list changed 15 times. The majority of those changes were TV shows (Top of the Pops, CD UK, Kerrang) or huge time gaps between sets (Feb 2005 was LPJZ).

Their current tour, as anyone who checks http://www.lplive.net/ or attends the shows, or talks on the forums would know, have been changing a whole lot, and its so bizarre to experience.

http://mikeshinoda.com shows that Mike's had 9 days off so far and blogged each. One such includes him watching football in Fulham (about half hour drive from my house) and checking out the British cuisine. His blog also contains images of this gorgeous blue guitar he's now using (a PRS) and all manner of strange photography. What are your thoughts on these sites he's making?

Nottingham Show, Pair of Tickets Available

I have a pair of tickets for the first person to come up to me at the Nottingham show, and quote the end of With You to me, then say the name of this site. Two tickets. These are NOT to be sold and are for the lucky person who comes up to me and says this.

Thursday, 24 Jan, Nottingham Arena.

You can contact me on 0*number removed* if you're having difficulty finding me. I'll probably be running about like a sassy puppy dog calling everyone I see the saviour of Radio 1, or something like that.

Downtime Update

Hey all - hope everyone had a great christmas & New Year (or whatever you prefer to celebrate). Big sorry for the site being down, but there was no real news going on and we needed to sort out the server. I've been so busy with my final year uni asssignments that time for the site is going to be pretty minimal. so i'm relying on staff to keep it all going.

The mysterious ???? is in the process of getting going, just waiting for a server update from clear-carbon, and for us to get things rolling. That's when we'll need your help!

Also nick and I are working on the file server and trying to come up with some amazing new downloads that will be worthy of you guys. So expect that soon. If you have realistic suggestions for downloads put them in the comments!

Oh and once we reach 1,000,000 there'll be a special download made availble.

From the 21st to the 26th I'll be in New York, but we'll be providing reviews of the UK tour as it happens. May even see if we can get a live blog going or something. All depends on time, I know Jon will be at almost every UK show, and I'll be at the O2 arena show on the 28th. Like last year I aim to have a special phone number if you want to meet with LPfuse staff...

So if you live in the New York area, where do you suggest I go?
Speak soon!

Hey all, busy as ever but I've thrown in some site updates:
First off the links on the linkinpark.com feed are fixed down the left, they'll now take you to the correct page instead of a 404 error.

The submit news area now has a captcha on it, this is due to me starting to get a few hundred emails each day which a good 90% are spam! If you have any issues with this please give me a shout.

The file server is being set back up slowly, but mp3's & videos are starting to reappear. Expect to see some interesting stuff appearing in the next few days.

Oh and the question marks will finally be revealed in the next week or so...
Have a good day :)

The LPU has sent out details on the new package for the coming year... The upgrade to the account will be availble on the 5th December. Details are:

lpu 7 logo
LPU 7 Pass
- LPU 7 CD with 10 Live Recordings featuring the Best of Projekt Revolution 2007
- LPU 7 Shirt
- LPU 7 Membership Card
- LPU 7 Sticker Pack
- LPU 7 Shoelaces
- LPU 7 Carabiner Keychain
- Letter from Linkin Park
- Annual Newsletter
- Mobile Benefits including Exclusive LPU Ringtone, Wallpaper, Contests, and Text Alerts*

lpu 7 shirt
Extra options are listed in the full story, I have to admit that I'm not impressed with the LPU CD. Live CDs never go down well with the majority of fans, and the fact that none of the tracks will be exclusive to the LPU this year is technically a first. With all the minute to midnight demos kicking around there could of been a much more intimate lpu CD... but oh well. Qwerty was a demo and look how much LP got from that one track?

The shoelaces are an intriguing addition, however the carabiner keychain is something fans have been asking for since 1.0, so least that's a plus.
