Linkin Park
We’re looking for musicians and bands with crowd pulling power, to entertain the masses at a top London venue in early October. The event is being organised by members of the LPU and LPST to highlight the talent that Linkin Park fans have here in the UK, and to help give back to those less fortunate than ourselves.
What we will require of you is the following:
- Somewhere to hear your music
- Some contact information as to where you are based
- A cover letter or description of your band and its bio/history.

What we can offer you for taking part include the following:
- Free promotion for your band throughout the UK event website (currently in development), Hard Rock Café website, Music For Relief’s website and any press or media coverage associated with this event
- A great location
- An opportunity to play in Central London
- A chance to change lives and feel great whilst doing so.

Now for those of you who aren’t in a band but would like to be involved, we’ll want to get the word out about the event and will need help promoting and inviting as many people along as possible. There will be live bands and possibly DJs to entertain, with a prize draw and silent auction for exclusive, signed items donated by Linkin Park, with more prizes to be advised.

The event will be held at Hard Rock Café, London, on Thursday October 9th 2008. You will need to be available from 4.30pm onwards. If you are interested in taking part, please drop us a line at
If you would like us to hear your band, please use the subject header “My band” followed by your band name. If you would like to help out with inviting people along, or any promotions, please use the subject header “I want to help”.

Please note, that as this is a charity event, travel and expenses will not be able to be covered. All proceeds will go towards MFR.

Apologies for the site silence this last month. Energy has started a job by day, I believe, and I am overwhelmed with work currently. Further to that, as far as I'm aware nothing too significant has occurred in the last month.

Mike released some trainers and cancelled orders due to over-ordering of the product ( I believe they're sold out now?)

Mike's Glorious Excess show concluded, but will reopen in January for another short run before concluding again in January.

Mike's having a competition on which you can enter and he'll be in the studio recording the final versions with / for the winner.

The Linkin Park site still crashes my PC, which is joyous. Crash yours at

On August 6, 2008 Linkin Park announced upcoming Music for Relief concerts in Shanghai on October 12 and Beijing on October 19 in which a portion of the proceeds to be contributed to MFR for the earthquake-hit Sichuan area in China. The World Bank has announced that it will be matching funds raised at the concerts for post-earthquake reconstruction projects initiated by Chinese civil society organizations.

October 12, 2008: Shanghai, China - Shanghai Stadium

October 19, 2008: Beijing, China - Beijing Workers Stadium

We've had some Projekt Rev shows - how have they been for you that have attended?

Show Cancelled in Sweden

Linkin Park
Mike's posted this message on his blog regarding the unfortunate cancellation of the show in Sweden.
to all the swedish fans: we are extremely sorry about the cancellation of the show tonight. we all sincerely wanted to come and play for you, but our boy brad is sick. this afternoon, the doctor ordered that brad not travel, so the show became an impossibility. we were obviously very disappointed and frustrated. we rarely cancel, and i know this is the second time we’ve had to cancel playing there. the band feels very bad about this uncontrollable situation, and hope to make it up to you as soon as we can…

Hope he gets better soon!

Update: This also includes Switzerland's show too. Check for further updates on upcoming shows. However it sounds as if Brad just needs to rest for a few days. Can you blame him? They're a busy bunch of guys.

Jay-Z Tickets failing to sell
Posted by Energy on 06 Jun 2008 03:21 pm

Linkin Park
MTV released a short article, pointing out that Jay-Z is failing to atract any interest from the UK public. It mentions that currently their are 40,000 tickets sold for the LPJZ MK Bowl, when it's a 75,000 person venue.

The rapper may be surprised to discover that there are still plenty of tickets still for sale…

Jay-Z may want to halt his up-coming parties in celebration of his forthcoming tour due to the fact that the British public aren’t snapping up his tickets.

All of the 7 x Grammy award winner’s UK dates have yet to sell out.

Not only has the Hip-Hop star been widely blamed for Glastonbury festivals poor ticket sales but he now might have to contend with the fact that his Projekt Revolution co-headline set with Linkin Park may barely fill half of the venue.

The gig will be held later this month at the Milton Keynes Bowl, which has a capacity of 75,000, but only 40,000 have been sold so far, leaving the promoters slightly worried.

There are also plenty of tickets for his gig at London’s 02 Wireless Festival on July 3.

Despite the lack of sales, we’re still looking forward to having him over here!

I have to say people, if you're a Linkin Park fan and you haven't got a ticket for this event yet, you really do need to pick one up. It's looking like it's going to be amazing. Most the LPFuse staff will be there and we're always wanting to meet up with other fans! We'll open a special meet up email account soon!

Update: as a few have pointed out, it seems that the MK Bowl can actually only hold 65,000 so mtv got it wrong, and 40,000 is pretty respectable (with that number bound to go up!)

Spoof: Linkin Park singer to receive Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording

Really random I know. This site seems to be an almost cheap version of the Onion. I thought some might get a laugh out of their recent report.
Do you think they had seen this before?

If popular rumours are to be believed, Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington may soon be on his way to receive his first ever Grammy for the 'Best Opera Recording' category.

Elton John, who will be giving away the awards, said, 'I think they chose Chester because...ah, well, you can see he has the traditional Operatic voice. It is just so deep and flamboyant. I think it fits the bill perfectly, and more. I can see well why they chose him.'

Busta Rhymes @ Projekt Rev, innerpartysystem joining the MK line up

innerpartysystem has been added to the already pretty full LPJZ event at the Milton Keynes Bowl. This is set to be an amazing day already, and checking out innerpartysystem's music on myspace they're a welcome adition to the line up. So check them out!

Also for those who didn't cotton last week, and I have to admit that we forgot to post the news (this is probably down to me just finishing my degree and getting a new job!) Busta Rhymes has been officially confirmed to be on the US Projekt Revolution line up. Expect to be hearing Busta's & Linkin Park's 'We Made It' performed live a few times.

Thanks to Bec for the heads up on innerpartysystem, and >>In The End<< for pestering me about not putting up Busta Rhymes.

Firstly, there is this video of Holly's new videoblog type thing and a sample of a new song she's recording (sounds great) located on this link
Secondly, her MySpace profile has been updated and she's still after some wonderful diaoramas (I nearly always write diahorrea first and then think "no, that's not what she wants"). You can see that at

Thirdly, everyone leave millions of comments stating how much you love her.

Secret LP show

Linkin Park
Lloyd & LPLive give some great info on a very small intimate show that was recently performed in LP's rehersal space. It was also a very interesting setlist, and one attende claims to have managed to get hold of a setlist for the european tour with No Roads Left listed as an Encore... who knows... this is what LP Live says about the show...

Linkin Park Live Guide - 29.05.2008

Burbank, California
LP Rehearsal Space
29th May 2008

01. Wake
02. Given Up
03. Lying From You
04. Leave Out All The Rest
05. We Made It

Show Notes:
- 'Fell On Black Days' was supposed to be performed by Chester and Chris Cornell after 'Leave Out All The Rest', but never happened for some reason.
- 'Wake' was listed as 'Wake 2.0', and was a brand new version of the song.
- 'Lying From You' was performed with a new intro.
- Busta Rhymes joined the band for 'We Made It'.

Other Notes:
- This was a "Secret Show", and was by invitation only. The location of the show was the band's rehearsal spot. Mike said that this was the first time ever that any fans had ever been let into the band's rehearsal studio. One member reports one entire wall inside being lined with Brad's guitars.
- The show was filmed for LPTV and pictures will be on the LPU soon.
- Only 14 LPUnderground members were in attendance for the show. They were blindfolded and taken from the Warner Bros HQ in Burbank to Third Encore.
- It was announced that Busta Rhymes would join LP on the Projekt Revolution tour
- Chris Cornell and Atreyu were in attendance. This possibly hints that Chester will join Chris Cornell for a song during his set on Projekt Revolution 2008.
- One member snagged a setlist titled 'Setlist Y' from the European Tour that is coming up, and in the encore is 'No Roads Left'. 'A Place For My Head' is also included.
