Hey all -
I know things have been very quiet on the site. I've not spoken to most the news posters but I know with me this is purely down to me getting covered in work from both my Masters course and doing my job aswell. This leaves me little free time, let alone free time to track down news...
However I'm going to try and make the extra effort and dedicate some time to the site each day. However I could do with some extra hands on deck. If you would like to post news on the site please email me at simon@lpfuse.co.uk with an example news post that you would make on the site. We'll sort you out from there!
Hope you are all good - lets see if we can get things moving again :)

God bless you merry gentlemen

Linkin Park.com's widget will be streaming the Road to Revolutions performance for all on Christmas day, but here at Fuse, we'd like you to all begin celebrating your Christmas now. Love from the team, we'll hopefully be returning to normality someday soon.
Silence

Apologies for the site silence this last month. Energy has started a job by day, I believe, and I am overwhelmed with work currently. Further to that, as far as I'm aware nothing too significant has occurred in the last month.

To all of those regulars here, you may know that Simon puts a lot into this site, and is usually unbearably busy with Uni work too. What you may not know is that today is Simon's birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMON!

1,000,000 - Lying From You (Instrumental)

Wow, 1,000,000 *unique* visits, that's pretty cool. LPfuse has been going for quite a while now, and the visitor counter only appeared after a few years of the site being active. I look back at the past site (the old purple one) and cringe. I really do...
The site actually started in my first year of college, and it immediately got a few visitors due to me uploading a few rare tracks, like One Step Closer (Rock Mix). When I started to upload the MTV Reanimation Videos is when things started getting really busy.
Since then we've tried to provide you with news and exclusive media (even when I was working in Ethiopia for a charity for three months).Exclusive media has ranged from: OSC Rock Mix, Hybrid Theory Demos, Xero High quality recordings, Reanimation videos, Mike Ear Piece recording, Plaster, One Step Closer (Humble bros FM edit), a06 vs My Own Summer, Frgt/10 Live at Music For Relief, some grey daze demos , Ztrip & chester live, ZTrip Demo... plus random live shows. Most of which we've had to purchase cause some person were trying to make money off the back of LP. The idea of fuse has always been to promote LP, and allow the rare music to 'escape'. We're working on putting the whole archive back up soon so keep an eye open for that...
We'd thought we'd keep the tradition going with an exclusive track just for you guys, and to reupload an old one.
I'd also like to announce that after the failed podcast series (of only being able to release 2 out of the 3 podcasts), that we're bringing it back, new series, new format, and new intro music.
Also the fabled ???? is almost there. Promise. Though I don't want you guys too excited over it! lol. Also I'll add a forum as soon as uni is over (so expect it in may).
So with all that blab out the way: here I present 'Lying From You (Instrumental)'. The track was performed by Linkin Park live at a soundcheck in 2003. If you know the origin of this, then please keep quiet, just enjoy it. :)
Also if your a fansite who plans to upload this, you must include credit to the site + a link to LPFuse as a bare minimum. There maybe benefits to doing this, which the LP Community will enjoy later. Promise ;)Also reuploaded is LP performing A.06 vs My Own Summer, this time in 320kbps. This track has one of the most amazing screams I've ever heard Chester perform, if you've never heard it before, it'll send a shiver down your spine. If you have it already, update your collection with this better quality copy!
Without further delay:
Linkin Park - Lying From You (Instrumental Live) (320kbps MP3)
Linkin Park - A.06 vs My Own Summer (Live) (320kbps MP3)
Enjoy :)

Ads or No Ads

Energy on 06 Mar 2008 01:53 am
Hey all, I've been re-evaluating the google ads, and while they once helped the site run, they're of little benefit anymore. This is a pain for me, especially next year when this could cause some serious issues with me paying for the upkeep of the site. It should be fine though...
So as of tonight the google ads have gone. As its replacement for a short while we've put up an advert for a comp that the people behind LP's website have asked us to run (something that we rarely do). It seems that you have to sign up to a random website, however the prize is pretty cool... a trip to the UK to see LP & JZ strut their stuff in Milton Keynes. So could be worth it...
As for that show we keep babbling on about, we'll be holding some kind of LPFuse event at the show (unofficially), and we'd love to meet as many of you as possible. Even looks like the staff will be wearing LPFuse tshirts. If we meet up, what would you guys like to do?
:)
SOB to join the Revolution?

With their upcoming album due for release in the next few months, I think there is a good chance that S O B will join their label mates Linkin Park for the P.R. shows in Europe. It'd make sense, and gives Mike more of a chance to promote them and bring some more hip hop back to the LP setlists by performing some of the old Fort Minor routine.
What do you all think? Is this a good thing? Would you rather Jurassic 5, The Roots and Pharoah Monche joined them? Who would you like to see in Europe supporting Linkin Park?
Also, if Jay-Z is playing with Linkin Park, will they repeat a performance of Umbrella? After all, that was Rhianna and Jay-Z, and Mike's learning the parts.
Watch this space.
please note, this is jon and bt speculation, not fact
We've been figured out!

Leave it to the LPU... But it's been confirmed what exactly will be up for download on Monday.
Details will likely leak soon in comments/threads everywhere.

A lot of questions. Pondering. "What is it?" "When is it?"
It is Monday. You already knew that. Today is Saturday. It is big. An exclusive that is being shared equally. It is relevent. It is worth having. It is amazing, at least, if you have any form of history.
Some said it didn't exist. Some said it was just a myth. Some said it couldn't be found, but still we persist. Some think it was worth every second. Some worked their whole lives for it. I like to think of it as a springboard.
I'm not your conscience, but I am aware of what people are excited to hear. Two days, guys.
Just
Two
Days.
Just to be fully certain, it is not any member of the Fuse staff singing along to LP songs.
Those were done years ago, and we
have no regrets.

This is a message for all of the readers of this site, LPLive.net, LPProjekt, LPAssociation and the LPU (and anywhere else last night's news was posted):
We're bound to disappoint because almost nothing could live up to the hype that's being built. Monday's release will be huge for some and ignored by others, but for the webmasters involved and those trusted with the information early, our secret has not failed to impress.
Be patient and don't let the rumors consume you. It's not often we get to do this, so let us have our fun...
It really IS worth the wait though.
An old tale...

He looked at a clock, the time was passing so slow. Each second seemed to stretch for a mile infront of him. He gazed forward, wandering how long it had exsisted.
It felt warm, like an old friend. Familiar. Yet it was something new and precious.
He knew there was a time to give it up, but as soon as he had looked inside the box and seen the beauty within it became apparent that it needed to be free. Realeased early, but yet so late. Everyone knew the stories but could they ever appreciate the real thing? Time would tell.
That time was approaching...
Mike's sick, SOB are back... I sense a trend

i’ve had the flu for the last few days. it’s been nasty. i almost went to the emergency room, but my fever broke and now i feel better.
enough about me. i haven’t mentioned anything about STYLES OF BEYOND in a while, since they’ve been in the studio finishing their record. they were almost done a few months ago, but decided to go back and tweak a few things and add a couple songs. i think it was a really smart move…the album sounds amazing.
now that the record is pretty much done, and the guys are starting to put some shows together. here are three so far:
2/15 – Crash Mansion – Downtown, LA Doors at 8:30PM
3/22 – In The Venue for “Spring Fling” – Salt Lake City, UT Doors at 8PM http://www.24tix.com
4/25 – University of Buffalo – Buffalo, NY
for all you fort minor fans out there, go check them out. tickets won’t cost too much, and you’re guaranteed a good time, especially if you catch the guys at the bar afterward. go and tell them i said “hi.”

Downtime Update

Hey all - hope everyone had a great christmas & New Year (or whatever you prefer to celebrate). Big sorry for the site being down, but there was no real news going on and we needed to sort out the server. I've been so busy with my final year uni asssignments that time for the site is going to be pretty minimal. so i'm relying on staff to keep it all going.
The mysterious ???? is in the process of getting going, just waiting for a server update from clear-carbon, and for us to get things rolling. That's when we'll need your help!
Also nick and I are working on the file server and trying to come up with some amazing new downloads that will be worthy of you guys. So expect that soon. If you have realistic suggestions for downloads put them in the comments!
Oh and once we reach 1,000,000 there'll be a special download made availble.
From the 21st to the 26th I'll be in New York, but we'll be providing reviews of the UK tour as it happens. May even see if we can get a live blog going or something. All depends on time, I know Jon will be at almost every UK show, and I'll be at the O2 arena show on the 28th. Like last year I aim to have a special phone number if you want to meet with LPfuse staff...
So if you live in the New York area, where do you suggest I go?
Speak soon!
